Conductor Rail Heating Panels get Network Rail Approval PA05/04652/T

After last winter and the rail disruption due to snow and ice, Network Rail and LCS embarked on an extensive programme of Conductor Rail heating installations in the latter part of 2010 running into 2011.

LCS had a Network Rail Approval PA05/04652/T for the Supply Panels 8800441 which were initially installed as manual units suitable for upgrade with motor control.

These projects should ensure that last year’s disruption of the railways due to snow and ice should be a thing of the past.

LCS is proud to play their part in keeping our Rail Network moving throughout the year.

This project has come as a pinnacle of the progressive development of the LCS conductor rail heating system first developed back in 1999 and supplied at Strood in Kent.

The Future

As we have now moved into the new millennium the requirements for more efficient forms of transport and a reduction in inner city pollution mean that Tramways and Light Railway projects will increasingly receive funding as a solution.

L.C. Switchgear Ltd are a key player in this investment in a cleaner more efficient Britain, but also expect to extend their expertise throughout Europe building on projects like the Ankara Rapid Transit System.
